Lanre Adanijo is a seasoned executive with a diverse background in banking, engineering, and management consulting. He earned a master's degree in Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and has participated in numerous management programs at Harvard Business School. His career began at Arthur Andersen & Co. (now Accenture), where he advanced to Senior Consultant, focusing on projects in various industries. He then moved to Crystal Bank of Africa Limited, becoming the Group Head of Corporate Banking. Lanre also gained international experience in the UK with James Collette and Associates.

Returning to Nigeria, he joined Societe General Bank, spearheading consumer, retail, and special banking products, and leading the Smart Card project. In 1999, Lanre joined Standard Trust Bank, holding key roles in treasury, financial services, and electronic and retail banking, and was appointed an Executive Director in 2002. He later became Chairman of GPS Holdings Ltd, an IT and software solutions company. A successful entrepreneur, Lanre has served on the boards of several prominent Nigerian companies, including Standard Trust Bank and Heirs Technologies Limited.
